Okay so he is talking about this London School of Economic Science, started in the 1930's by Leon MacLaren. And this should not be confused with the London School of Economics.
And then there was or is also this School of Practical Philosophy in NYC.
John Adago gives an entire chapter of his own biography, starting when his grandmother emigrated to the US from Italy in the first decade of the 20th Century.
So he talks about many, like Gurdjieff and Ouspensky.
And especially Leon MacLaren and his father Andrew.
Andrew MacLaren (1883 - 1975)
"Wealth results from work. There is no such thing as a 'windfall'. When one acquires wealth without work or great wealth with little work, others are being deprived of the fruits of their labor. A community without justice will not survive: to each must be rendered his due. A society, through its laws and institutions, must inhibit one man from harvesting the crop of another, that each may reap what he has sown."
