Papa Roach - Forever (Live) www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZsUY_81zFcUsually this kind of a song would be in the key of D, the most etherial or introspective of the keys. Think for example of the Red Hot Chile Peppers. Here, the link to get to this says Forever is in D minor. Sounds right to me. www.musicnotes.com/sheetmusic/mtd.asp?ppn=MN0072474Here it says that they are dropping the lowest guitar string from E down to D. tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/p/papa_roach/forever_tab.htmand here www.songsterr.com/a/wsa/papa-roach-forever-tab-s23531t0and this, with the lyrics www.e-chords.com/chords/papa-roach/foreverUsing D minor would mean the key signature and scale of F Major, and so the major triads would be on C and Bb, and the Diminished on E, and then minor triads on A, D, and G. Yes, what above shows for the lyrics does not conflict with this at all. Completely diatonic. Its just that minor mode and that key of D do have an etherial sound. Notice also that the opening bass line in the studio recording is simpler, really needing that drop down to D tuning. www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMidL_YL1YsSJG
