Some people seem to think so. I think no.
Long ago I was seeing one girl, who claimed herself a feminist. Anti-porn, Anti-prostitution, resistant to even moderate slut wear. Today she seems to be a member of the Republican Party, and she may have been the "Wedding Coordinator" for a large hotel chain.
For her sex had to be bound up with indicators of high socio-economic status.
She was not really a feminist, she was a yuppie, and she had a puritanical strain.
This is just the way it is. if you give most people a little bit of freedom, what do they do? Use it to build a radical lifestyle? No, they use it to better comply with social expectations. So the little bit of sexual revolution and feminism which we have tends to get used in reactionary ways. Delaying marriage to better be able to marry upwards.
What we need is far more feminism and far more sexual revolution.
Informality in work places can lead to more bullying and more Lord of the Flies type situations. Looking now at a friend who committed suicide, decades ago. Such work place extreme bullying had to be at the core of it.
