Adi Da passed away in 2008

He had many names, one was Da Free John. I had met some people who had been part of his group in CA.

The guy who wrote the article runs his org in Chicago.

This goes along with a lot of Eastern derived teachings that I am not particualarly attracted to.


Now the idea of calling all of this "New Religious Movements", that is kind of a charitable designation, instead of calling them cults.

I do though suspect that these movements will eventually replace or influence mainline religion, and in some cases I believe that they already have.

The music of Gurdjieff - De Hartmann (I think this will have similarity to Erik Satie and Claude Debussy, author in the first mentioned book on this thread wrote about Gurdjieff and did her dissertation on his music with Thomas de Hartmann
